Spring 2016 Event Photos

Spring of 2016 offered a lot of excitement here at Kelcema Audio. We provided sound throughout the entire Pacific Northwest, including being called upon to support national political events. June, of course, brought us again to Seattle Pride and Seattle's PrideFest, our tenth year supporting both organizations. On more then one occasion, we provided production services with as little as a day's notice- and in one case, in under 6 hours from the phone call to being onsite loading in!

Sound Production for Bernie Sanders rally at Safeco Field, Seattle, WA, March 25th, 2016
We were approached by a national campaign in March, 2016 to provide the audio production for their rally being held at Safeco Field. With less then 48 hours notice, we provided 16 boxes of JBL VerTec 4888 speakers, stacked 4 each on top of two SRX728S dual-18" subwoofers, additional VRX speakers for fills, and the gear to handle two bands performing. We covered 15,000 attendees for this major rally, with a very satisfied client!

Mix Position for Bernie Sanders Rally in Vancouver, WA at Hudson's Bay High School, March 20th, 2016 LED Ellipsoidal Lighting for Bill Clinton speaking appearance in Spokane, WA on March 21st, 2016
We provided sound services for a national campaign rally in Vancouver, WA on March 20th, 2016. We deployed 8bx of our JBL VerTec speakers outside of the venue for overflow coverage; pictured here is our mix position for this external system. A wireless microphone system provided a direct feed from the main venue to this additional system!  A lighting tower with 6 LED-based Chauvet ellipsoidals provided stage lighting for a national campaign appearance in Spokane, WA on March 21st, 2016. We deployed two of these towers for even stage coverage, along with full control. By using LED based fixtures, we used less power then conventional fixtures would require! This was accomplished by clamping a 6' straight piece of truss to a 10' high upright.
Rally & Vigil at Cal Anderson Park for the Orlando Shooting, Seattle, WA, June 12th, 2016
In the aftermath of the Orlando Pulse Nightclub shootings on June 12th, 2016, cities across the country held vigils in solidarity and support of the Orlando GLBT community. In Seattle, the Gender Justice League organized a rally at Cal Anderson Park that evening, with speakers including Seattle Mayor Ed Murray and Washington State Governor Jay Inslee. We were asked to provide a sound system to cover the event, and used our new Worker WT-150 speaker lifts and JBL VRX932LAP powered speakers. An LS9-16 provided the mixing, and we deployed 2 channels of Shure QLX-D wireless microphones.

A new event for us this year was the Coastal Conservation Association of Washington's annual fundraising banquet. They approached us with complaints about how their previous banquets had sounded- as always, any fundraising event needs to sound great so the guests can hear the calls for support! We deployed 6 JBL STX812M speakers spread around the room, supported by 2 Shure QLX-D wireless microphones, and received rave reviews from the client as to how great it sounded this year!  Washington State Governor Jay Inslee at the Rally & Vigil for the victims of the Orlando Pulse Nightclub shooting on June 12th, 2016 at Cal Anderson Park in Seattle, WA. This event's sound system was deployed in under 6 hours from the initial call from the sponsoring organization Gender Justice League! We also provided our Radial mPress press distribution boxes to assist the local press with receiving an audio feed. Several thousand people showed up and were greeted with clear sound.

Returning for our 10th year working with the Seattle Pride Parade on June 26th, 2016, we again deployed JBL VRX932LA-1 speakers for the 4th & Bell Street Viewing Stand. In addition to 3 tower lifts and 6 speakers, we also provided staff, 2 handheld wireless microphones, 2 speakers to cover the attached Beer Garden, and our MQ Power WhisperWatt 45kW diesel generator to power everything.  The flagship viewing stand for the 2016 Seattle Pride Parade on June 26th uses Genie ST24 speaker lifts and 3bx hangs of JBL AR4892 utility speakers. By deploying 4 of these towers along the east side of 4th Avenue at Westlake Park, we create continuous sound coverage for nearly 2 city blocks! We provided an LS9-16 digital mixing console and 4ch of wireless microphones to support the pre-parade events.
